Prophet Fox

Prophet Fox, a retired cement truck driver, departed this life at his resident on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the age of 97. He was a native of Franklin, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Prophet served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Second Zion Baptist Church #2 for over 60 years where he sang in the choir. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Smith Fox. Devoted father of Cynthia (Harry) Johnson, Sandra (Howard) Richards, Darrell P. Fox, and the late Sara Lee. Grandfather of Kevin Smith. Loving companion of Ruth Carter. Son of the late Joseph Fox and Daisy Brown Fox. Brother of the late Joseph Fox, Jr., Charlie Fox and Roxanne McCoy; also survived by 5 great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church #2 and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church #2, 3333 Third St., New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Morris Hubbard, officiating

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
