Carroll Conley, Jr.

Carroll Conley, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the age of 76. He was a native of Hazelhurst, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA.  Beloved husband of Maggie Collins Conley. Father of Shirley (Earl), Carroll, III (Blanche), and Corey (Kristal). Cal Jr., as he was affectionately known also reared Gaedria Goodwin and his grandson Malcolm. Grandfather of Roneka, Chatni (Romail) Courtney (Rashad), Brittany (Desmond), Alocra, Kori, Kristal, Corey, Jr., Makayla, Andre’Anna, Jazmine, Kaleb, and Keinon. Son of the late Carroll, Sr. and Lanelle Tyler Conley. Brother of the late Willie D. Conley. Brother in law of Bennie Ruth Conley, Clara Seals, Helen Collins, Hilda Collins, Rev. Ruth Brown, and Patricia Ann Humphries. Former husband of Rose Conley. Uncle of Fatima Corley, Sonya R. Haynie, and Dennis Conley. Nephew of Shirley Tyler, and Gwendolyn Esters. Special friend of Stephanie Ross, Tanya Jordan, Bruce Ross, Kirk Green, and Larry Chopin; also survived by 8 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Olive Branch Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Olive Branch Baptist Church 1134 Branch-Joseph/Odeon Ave. Algiers, LA on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Reginald Nicholas, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
