Wornell Nelson

Wornell Nelson entered into eternal rest at Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Husband of Nathalie “Nattie” Nelson. Stepfather of Wayne (Christy) Franklin, Alexander Williams, Jr., Chareese (Ken) Williams, and Edwin Williams. Step grandfather of Michael A. Williams whom he raised. Son of the late William, Jr. and Loretta Jones Nelson. Brother of Shirley (London) Nelson and the late Atwood Nelson. Nephew of Lillie Mae Taylor and Lawrence McGuffy. Godson of Lucille Smith and the late Edgar Charles, also survived by 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age:  68 years a native of St. Rose, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA.  

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Central Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Central Missionary Baptist Church 1438 Alabo St. New Orleans, LA on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery-St. Rose, LA
