Betty Trudeaux Jackson

Betty Trudeaux Jackson, peacefully departed this life, to join our Father and the Heavenly Saints, on Saturday, Monday February 20, 2016. She was a graduate of Lincoln High and Southern University, of Baton Rouge, LA, where she was a member of Zeta Phi Beta. Betty was a retired employee of Jefferson Parish School System after 40 years of service.

Devoted loving wife of Climmos Jackson. Mother of Jacquline Rickmon and Brett Jackson. Stepmother of Steven (Jane) Jackson. Grandmother of Adrea, Steven, Jr., Brittnay, Lynn, and Imani. Great grandmother of Lyric. Daughter of the late Alcide, Sr. “Sam” and Myrtle Trudeaux Parker. Stepdaughter of the late Adam Parker. Sister of Rosalind Trudeaux, Thelma (Marcel) Jackson, Ava (LaDell) Maples and the late Peter “Petey Wheatstraw” Jackson and Alcide “Sammy” Trudeaux, Jr. Sister in law of Gwendolyn Trudeaux , Marion Jackson, Angleina Rankins. Caregiver Alice Jasmine, also survived a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends

Age: 75 years a native of Barataria, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Paul Baptist Church 1509 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
