Robert Joseph Williams departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank, surrounded by family and friends at the age of 69. He was a native of Klotzville, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Robert served his country as a member of the United States Marines and retired from Norfolk Southern Railway after 35 years of service. Loving husband of Brenda Handy Williams. Devoted father of Monique Williams (Ron) Thomas, Kristina Williams (Dewayne) Richardson, Eric (Iris) Williams and Brandon (Angel) Williams. Grandfather of Erica, Eric, Jr., Jalen, Kayla, Brandon and Aria Williams, Sydni Thomas, Dwayne Richardson and Alexis Bates. Great-grand father of Bronston Octave. Son of the late Wilfred Williams, Sr., and Cordella Breaux Williams. Brother of Leoance (Madeline) Williams, Bernice Clayton, Rose Marie (Roosevelt) Thompson, Luvenia (Payne) Hopkins, Patricia (Melvin) Champagne and the late Wilfred, Leonard and Bessie Williams, Helen Jordan and Enola Jones. Brother-in-law of Clarence Jones and Audrey Williams. Special friend of Erica, Ashley, James, Lynn and Kerry; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friend of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST.
