Valerie Ann Holmes entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the age of 47. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Loving mother of Whitney D. Holmes. Daughter of Edward Robert Holmes and the late Alice Holmes. Stepdaughter of Eula Pearl Holmes. Sister of Edward R. Holmes, Jr., Catrina Holmes and the late Steven Holmes. Granddaughter of Florence Cheatham and the late Shirley Francis. Niece of the late Alma Scott, Eldridge Holmes, Anthony Francis and Ruth “Myrtle” Scott Williams. Aunt of the late Paris Holmes; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Zionfield Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Davita Dialysis are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 9:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
