Marilyn Malancon Wagner

Marilyn Malancon Wagner, a retired educator with the Jefferson Parish School System, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the age of 57. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA (Walkertown Community). Beloved wife Gilbert Wagner for over 30 years. Loving mother of Tyler Anthony MacKyeon, Sr. Stepmother of Freida Wagner (Terrance) Brown, Paula Wagner, and Monica Philips. Grandmother of Tyveon, Cariyah Tyralynn, Cyla Lajah , and Tyler Anthony MacKyeon, Jr., Nicolea, Joshua, and Ericia Walker, Marcus and Kaneishia Wagner, and the late Jonathan Walker. Daughter of the late Alexander and Martha Malancon. Sister of Paulette Robinson, Helen Elder, Cynthia Snowden, Dianne Washington and the late Edward Procter, Cheryl Rocque and Bernadette Riley; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Cornerstone Christian Center, Strong Faith Bible Church, St. Mary Baptist Church, Morning Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St Mary Baptist Church, 6223 6th St. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Fallon Procter, officiating

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
