Gloria Lackey Davis

Gloria Ann Lackey-Davis, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at West Jefferson Medical Center, surrounded by her family.   She was a native of Waterproof, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Gloria was employed with West Jefferson and Tulane Medical Centers for many years. Loving wife of Byron C. Davis. Devoted mother of Terrance (Karen) Neal. Stepmother of Dr. Byron young and Lakeantra Davis. Daughter of the late David and Indiana Lackey. Sister of David Lackey, Jr., Roy (Vickey), Frank (Monica), and Lionel (Jessie) Fields, Ollie (Ernest) Howell, Barbara Lackey, Angeline (Fred) Douglas, Margie Davis, Anna James, Jacqueline (Elder S. Garnett) Garnett and Betty Jean Fields. Niece of Mary Alice Ford. Daughter-in-law of the late Herman and Marthann Tross. Sister-in-law of Gil (Beverly) Lewis, Trudy D. Cain, and Marionne (Ed Hall) Celistan; also survived by 9 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5th St. Gretna, LA on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. T. A. Hodge, officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
