Major Rogers, III, age 53, was called home on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Tulane Medical Center. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident Gretna, LA. Major was a 1980 graduate of West Jefferson High School and attend Grambling State University, where he was a member of the band. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, from which he retired after 18 years of service. Father of Major Rogers, IV. Stepfather of Richard Brown. Son of Mary Lumas Rogers and the late Major Rogers, Jr. Stepson of Renard Elloie. Brother of Yolanda Rogers (Michael), and Carmella R. Haywood; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
