Elvera Mitchell Frye

Elvera Ellanor Mitchell Frye, knowing the condition of her health held tight to her faith until the Lord called her home on Friday, May 20, 2016 at her residence at the age of 70. She was a native of Crown Point, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved daughter of the late Pauline Palmer Mitchell and Hilery Mitchell. Sister of Harold Mitchell, Sr. (Margaret), Gervin Mitchell (Joann), Stella Harris, Betty Johnson and the late Yvonne Mitchell Burks, Raymond Mitchell, Sr., and Celestine Mitchell McCall. Lifelong companion of Jessie Johnson, Jr. Stepmother of Eugene (Lisa) Daniels, April (Cedric Sr.) Jackson and Wanda Walker. Special nieces Twyla Williams and Brittany Harris; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith Church, Mt Calvary Baptist Church, New Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Crown Point, LA), St. John Baptist Church (Barataria, LA) and all neighboring churches; employees of Lakeside Hospice are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPERSSWAY MARREO, LA on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Otis Wafer, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
