Adam Landry Evans, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA.

Loving and devoted husband of Jessie Pope Evans. Beloved father of Cedric Evans and children by marriage John E. (Lea) Montgomery, Kym Copeland, Ingrid (Dennis) Herbert, and Lashika Pope. Grandfather of Cierra Montgomery, John (Bariche) Montgomery, III, and Morgan Copeland. Son of the late Adam Alexander and Annie Mae Colemon Evans. Brother of Czolgus A. (Sandra) Evans and Carolyn Foster. Step brother of Mildred Patterson. Uncle of Kevin (Chinyere) Evans, Elisa (Brent) Gilmore, Cordia (Arnold) Miller, Leslie (Cordell) Key, and Deidre Evans. Brother in law of Mattie McGowan, Mary Ann Dupree, Roy (Doris) Hawkins, Sr., Charles Hawkins, Joseph (Betty) Dupree, and Frank (Sandra) Collins, II, also survived by 4 great nieces, 3 great nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center Cathedral, Greater King David and neighboring churches; employees of West Jefferson Medical Center, Belle Vie Living Center, and Fireman Credit Union are invited to attend the celebration of life at Life Center Cathedral 2100 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00a.m.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
