Leon Robertson departed this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Beloved son of Victorine Robertson Gilmore. Father of Kalonda (Eric) Jackson, Jarmol (Shantell) Chapman, Shameka Chapman, and James (Kirsten) Chapman, Sr. Brother of Elma Clark, Glenda Randall, Elaine (Isaac) Smith, Jacqueline Robertson, LaSandra (Phillip) Simmons, and Lydia Seldon. Nephew of Mary Simmons, Rose Robertson, and Mildred Birden. Godfather of Nathan Williams and Chelsea Johnson. Devoted friend Vickie Porter and her daughter Conqwetta "Boogie" Porter, also survived by 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Age: 68 years native and resident of Avondale, LA
Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend a Homegoing Celebration at Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church 242 Avondale Garden Rd. Avondale, LA on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:30a.m.
