Henry Mitchell, Sr.

Henry Mitchell, Sr., age 83, entered in to eternal rest on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at his residence.  He was a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Westwego, LA.  Henry served his country as a member of the United States Army and was a retired Longshoreman Steamer.  He is survived by a host of loving relatives and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors officers and members of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 Hwy 90 West, Avondale, LA on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:00a.m.  Elder Sean Elder, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time. Interment will be on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at  Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA
