Lela Desorn Washington departed this life on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Wife of the late L. B. Washington, Jr. Mother of Pastor Rachel Harrison, Mattie (Alvin) Levinson, Mary Encalarde, Betty Jo (Ray) Addison, Diana Washington, Shirley Washington, and the late Leonard C. Washington. Great great grandmother of the late Deondra Corley and La’Chante Floyd. Daughter of the late Charlie Desorn and Rachel Barnes. Sister of Everlina Johnson, Silvester (Sandra) Smith, Louis (Diane) Bingham, and the late Elijah, Isaac and Pearlina, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

Age: 87 years a native of Franklin Parish, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church 1419 4h St. Westwego, LA on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 10:00a.m.
