Jessie James Hughes, Sr

Jessie James Hughes, Sr., age 68, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Laurel, MS and a resident of Lacombe, LA. Jessie was a retired Construction Worker. Loving husband of Carolyn N. Hughes. Beloved son of Mae Simmons and the late James Hughes. Grandson of the late Rebecka Simmons and Charlie Brown. Devoted father of Jermaine Trotter, Peter Trotter, Trina Trotter, Tyra Nolan, Jessie Hughes, Jr., Jessica Hughes, Serenity Hughes and the late Jessie Trotter, Gregory Nolan, and Johnnie Hughes. Brother of Frankie Hughes, Charles Nolan, Mary Holmes and Mary Hughes. Nephew of the late Willie B. Hughes. Son-in-law of the late Mary Nolan; also survived by 25 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Triumph Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Triumph Baptist Church, 412 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Poplarville, MS on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Tommy Hart, officiating

Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
