Preston Herman Jones was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank at the age of 65. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA. Preston attended Lincoln High School before serving his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a Disabled Veteran and a Laborer. Beloved husband of Lillie Denise Brown. Devoted father of Shawn C. (Trisha) Jones and Ronnel J. Jones. Stepfather of Samantha D. Hill. Grandfather of Samara, Salima and Sarena Jones. Son of the late Leo, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Wilson Jones. Brother of Leo Jones, Jr., Donald (Diana) Jones, Sr., and the late Cedric Jones, Terry (Lucy Mae) Jones, Sr., and Sharon Walters; also survived by 2 godchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center Cathedral and all neighboring churches; employees and patients of the V. A. Hospital (New Orleans) are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Life Center Cathedral, 2100 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00a.m.
