Darnell Washington

Darnell “Bridge Boy Dee” Washington, age 24, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was a native of Bridge City, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Darnell was an employee of La Madeleine Restaurant in Harahan, LA. Loving son of the late Aldora Washington and Turrelle Monk. Grandson of Warren Henry and the late Josephine Washington, Carolyn Washington, Florence Wilkins-White and Ben Monk.  Devoted great- grandson of the late Josephine Washington, one of his primary caregivers after the death of his parents. Loving nephew of Selicia Washington, who was instrumental in his rearing, and Cornell Washington. Companion of Madonna Mays; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero Ave. Bridge City, LA on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA
