James Christian Morvant

James “Porkchop” Christian Morvant passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the age of 59.

He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Lafitte, LA. Son of the late Jesse James Morvant, Sr. and Betty Graver Morvant. Brother of Jesse James (Brenda) Morvant, Jr., Ricke (Judy) Morvant, Marie (Elton) Matherne, Kevin (April) Morvant and the late Kenneth Morvant. Uncle of Lisa (Dave) Marcel, Steve (Christy) Morvant, Casey Morvant, Christy Morvant, Elton Matherne, Brent Matherne, Rusty (Catelyn) Matherne, Joycelyn (Dylan) Matherne, Brittany Morvant, and Kevin Morvant, Jr. Great uncle of Miranda Martin, Tyler Marcel, Mackenzie Matherne, Jacob Phillips, Tabitha Phillips, Johnny Phillips, Carter Matherne, Peyton Matherne, Nathan Matherne, Baileigh Morvant, and Dawson Matherne. Brother in law of Patti Morvant. Godfather of Lisa Marcel and Myranda Boudreaux and her extended family Sydney “Happy “ Boudreaux, Nick (Mandy) Dinet, and Prim Dinet, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
