Emile Cook, Sr., age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10:30p.m. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Emile was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and employed with Bayou Barrier Golf Club for 50 years. Husband of Doris Jimcoily Cook. Father of Cher (Lloyd) Sykes, Emile (Shawna) Cook, Jr. Grandfather of Chante’ Sykes, and Emile Cook, III. Son of the late Ernest, Sr. and Mathilda Butler Cook. Brother of Barbara C. Johnson, Brenda C. Lewis and the late Herbert Pierre, Rosemary Lewis, Thomas, Harold and Ernest Cook, Jr.   Brother-in-law of Shirley Felo, Evelyn Butler, Janice Jones, Gayland Williams, Cassandra Franklin, Yolanda Favoroth, Carolyn Watson, Elaine Levy, Shelia Jimcoily, Margaret Pierre, Augustine, Mabel and Eloise Cook, Dwayne Jimcoily, Harold Lewis, Terry Felo, Sr., Vincent Watson, Walter Favoroth, and Nathaniel Levy; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Bayou Barriere Gold Club, Catholic Charities and St. Germaine Apartment Complex are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarine Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter L. Crawford, Jr. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA
