Derric Leonard Mumphrey

Derric Leonard “D-Man” Mumphrey entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the age of 46. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Devoted son of Genevieve Celestine Mumphrey and the late Robert James Mumphrey. Grandson of the late Albert, Sr. and Willie Mae Russell Celestine, Isiah, Jr. and Rosemary Batiste Mumphrey. Nephew of Albertine Celestine, Debra Celestine, James (Barbara) Celestine, Michael (Dorsa) Celestine, Ronald (Jawyne) Mumphrey and the late Albert Celestine, Jr. Great nephew of Charles Celestine, Aldonia Priestly, Josephine Jones, Odeal Sullivan, Theresa Mumphrey, and Emerle Smith. Godson of Maxcine Charles. Special friend of Michele Penwright, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. at the parlor.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
