Joseph Keller, Jr.

Joseph “Buck” Keller Jr., age 61, peacefully departed his life on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Ochsner Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  Joseph was a graduate of John McDonogh High School. He served his country as a member of the U. S. Army and was employed as a Truck Driver for 5 years, and managed Lakeland Apts. Beloved husband of Rene Young Keller.  Devoted father of Cotenia K. Bartholomew, Lashanda K. Beamon, Joseph Keller III, and Chelsea M. Keller. Grandfather of Ryan Louis Rogers, Jr., whom he was instrumental in rearing.  Son of the late Joseph Keller, Sr. and Gloria Mae Keller. Brother of Joann K. Perkins, Josie Keller, Joyce (Michael) Miller, Jean Barnes and the late Jimmie (Cherry) Keller and Julia Robinson. Son-in-law of Audrey M. Young and the late Matthews C. Young, Sr.   Brother-in-law of Bobby (the late Lawrence) Keller, Mona (the late Warren) Malveaux, Denise (Kenneth) Price, and Cecelia (Darren) Rousell, Matthews Young Jr., and Jimmy (Shirley) Fisher. Nephew of Ether Brisco; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA
