Joseph Anderson

Joseph “Joe” Anderson was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the age of 73. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Joe as he was affectionately called by family and friends resided in New York for over 45 years. After retiring he returned back to his beloved hometown to live out the remainder of his golden years. Loving father of Tiffany Melvin. Grandfather of Cherish Unique Melvin. Son of the late Albert, Sr. and Lucy Anderson. Brother of Kermit “Tom” Anderson, and the late Elton (Orelia) Anderson, Sr., Warren Anderson, Albert (Charlette) Anderson, Jr., Helen Anderson and Rebecca (Oscar, Sr.) Jimcoily; also survived by his devoted nephew and caregiver Robert (Cynthia) Anderson, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarene Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Nazarene Baptist Church, 3062 Boyd St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Pastor Peter L. Crawford, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.n. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA
