R. L. Bradley, Sr.

March 7, 1934 — October 2, 2016

R. L. “Rail” Bradley peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at his residence at the age of 82. He was a native of Copiah County, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved husband of Ora Dixon Bradley. Loving father of Lillie Bradley-Wilson, Mary Bradley, R. L. (Andre) Bradley, Jr., Cora Bradley Phelps (Harry), Willie Bradley, Bernard (DeAnne) Bradley, Roy Bradley, Sr., Latita Bradley (Darrel) Evans, and Curticia Bradley. Son of the late LeAndrew and Lille Hicks Bradley. Brother of Francis Wilson of Detroit, MI, Lillie Morris of Little Rock, AR, and the late John, Benny, P.C., W.Q., and A.W. Bradley, Ada Mae Vance, Mae Olla Thomas, and Oda Mae Lee. Father-in-law of the late Bennie Wilson and Arthur Phelps. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson; also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

 

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Viewing at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Westhaven Funeral Home, 306 Depot St. Utica, MS on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00p.m.

 

Visitation will begin at 1:00p.m at the above named parlor.

 

Interment: Little Zion Church of Holiness Cemetery-Hermanville, MS.
