Floyd Anthony Rue, Jr.

Floyd A Rue, Jr. transitioned peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 5:24a.m., surrounded by loved ones at the age of 68. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Bridge City, LA. Floyd was owner and operator of a cement finishing business for over 50 years. He instilled morals, values, work ethics, dedication and the importance of a good education in all of his family. Devoted husband of 46 years to Ceola Richardson-Rue.   Loving father of Joseph (Catina) Pierce, Alisia (Terry Sr.) Phillips, Sheila, Bernnadetta and Jason Rue, Sr. Son of the late Floyd Rue, Sr. and Phillipine Saul-Rue. Brother of John Walker of Atlanta, GA and the late Delores Rue. Son-in-law of the late Willie Sr. and Roxie H. Richardson  Brother-in-law of Laura (A.J.) Horton of New Orleans, LA, JoAnn Richardson of California, Betty Sinegar of Metairie, LA, Leona N. Richardson of Avondale, LA, Eddie Richardson, Jimmy Williams both of New Orleans,LA, and the late Willie Jr., John H., Curtis Sr., Rocky Richardson, Roxie Lee, and Mary Ann Richardson. Uncle of the late Gabriel Rue; also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
