Joseph Thomas Jones, a retired welder, departed this life on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the age of 79. He was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Terrytown, LA. Joseph served his country as a member of the United States Army. Beloved husband of Linda S. Howard Jones. Loving father of Joann (Eric) Hunt, Alicicia (Terrell) Detiege, Annette (Honore’) Washington, Evangelist Paula (Joseph) Cummings and the late Stephanie Jones. Stepfather of Chlarisa (Jon) Howard and Patricia Howard. Son of the late Willie and Gladys L. Jones. Grandson of the late Noby Williams Lemar. Brother of Charles Jones and the late Catherine Jones; also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family and members of Westside Oldtimers Baseball Club are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veteran Cemetery-Slidell, LA
