Eirvin Lightell, Sr., age 77, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Phoenix, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Eirvin was a retired Freight Handler of the Port of New Orleans. Loving husband of Emelda Lewis Lightell. Father of Sylvester, Bruce, Leonard, Cyndricka, Jonathan, Edith, Shelia and Nicole and the late Paul and Eirvin Lightell, Jr., and Wallace Morris, Jr. Son of the late Della Picquet Eskridge and George Lightell. Brother of Setris (Joyce) Picquet, Lois Holland, Betty Leblanc, Yvonne Sigur, Beverly (Rowland) Moore, and the late Joseph Deplesses, George Lightell, Gus Lightell, Sr., Gerald Picquest, Sr., Celia Picquet Nunnery, Jessie Eskridge, and Carolyn Ray. Brother-in-law of Lorraine Harvey, Annette Washington, Melvin Clayton, Samuel Clayton and Robert A. Dennis, Jr.; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
