Learence Drawsand

Learence “Tommy” Drawsand entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at his residence at the age of 65. He was a native and resident f New Orleans, LA. He served his country as a member of the United States Army, which he received many commendations  Loving companion of Geraldine Ramos. Devoted father of Tanja Schreckenberger of Germany, Phillip (Keila) Barrel of St. Landry, Derrick and Katrice Drawsand, George (Jeniece) Ramos, Shantell (Robert) Ramos, Temeca Jessie, Crystal Zeno all of New Orleans, and the late Khian Drawsand.   Great-grandfather of the late JeR’elle Jessie. Son of Gustiner Drawsand. Brother of Fred (Gwen) Drawsand , Oradell (Charles) Smith, Loudell Bates, and the late Lawrence, Jr., Leroy, Lennot and Katie Mae Drawsand, Augustine Drawsand Williams, Gustina Reed and Berbilee Stoner. Godfather of Balinda Williams, Vera Coleman, and Keena Mitchell; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Shiloh Baptist Church, Mt Sinai Baptist Church, Divine Inspiration and all neighboring churches; employees of Diana Head Start, Valentine Medical, Mel’s Transportation, Marriott, Wheel One, and Off Track Betting are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Baptist Church, 419 Buhot St. Washington, LA on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 12:00p.m.
