Kelvin Jenkins

Kelvin Jenkins, age 60, departed this life on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at JoEllen Smith Living Center. He was native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey, LA. Kelvin served his country as a member of the U. S. Army. Loving father of Kelvin, Jr., Cynthia “Fat”, Michael and Jeremiah.  Son of the late George, Sr. and Ina Marie Shields Jenkins. Grandson of the late Rosemary Frazier, Mary Johnson and Francis Nathan. Brother of George Jenkins, Jr., Lena Buckley, Georgia Cavalier, Sheila Jenkins, Ina Gallagher, and Jewel Williams; also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Mount Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 2153 North Broad St., New Orleans, LA on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Pastor John Jackson, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery- Slidell, LA
