Ray Smith

Ray Smith entered into eternal rest at Tulane Medical Center on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the age of 59. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Ray was a former manager with Sodexo in the New Orleans Public Schools and a Registered Fisherman. Loving father of Aviance (Arthur,) Ray, Direal, Diamante, Donnielle, Raishell, Raylynn, Tamara and Aaliyah. Son of Dan Smith, Jr. and the late Lillie Mae Lewis Smith. Brother of Roy Smith, Troy Picard, Anna, Linda, Donna, and the late Dan III and Don Smith; also survived by 6 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, of Mount Sinai Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mount Sinai Baptist Church, 1249 Leboeuf St., New Orleans, LA on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dudley Watson, officiating. Viewing will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time ONLY at the above named church.
