Shonta' Monique Walker

Shonta’ Monique Walker entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Tulane Medical Center at the age of 39. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Shonta’ was employed as a cashier with Winn Dixie Supermarket. Loving daughter of Jane W. Myers and Jerry Long. Sister of Thaddeus Jamal Myers. Granddaughter of Dorothy W. Walker and the late Willie Walker. Great granddaughter of Edward Walker, Jr. and Edna Lagarde Walker; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Second Highway Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Winn Dixie, Wynhoven Health Care Center and Alere Toxicology Services are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Highway Baptist Church, 1533 Haydel Dr. Marrero, LA on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Pastor Joseph Johnson, officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
