Giselle Robinson Thomas

Gisselle Dawn Robinson Thomas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the age of 49. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Dawn as she is affectionately known was a graduate of O. Perry Walker High School and Tulane University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work. She and her husband founded Inspiration House, a personal care service for the disabled. Dawn was a consistent contributor to the United Negro College Fund. Through her new business venture, acts of kindness, Dawn mentored the youth and was extremely instrumental in their education and employing them. Beloved wife of Newton Clarence Thomas. Devoted mother of River Caleb Thomas. Loving daughter of Eliza Robinson and the late Samuel Robinson. Sister of Catrice (Keith) Winesberry, Cedric S. (Jesse) Robinson. Daughter in law of Rev. Pearl T. Thomas. Sister in law of Cherryle T. (Albert) Young, Carolyn T. (Melvin) Marsalis, Gregory (Debra), Richard, Kenneth (Janice), and Averriel (Cynthia) Thomas. God mother of Kenneth Daneel Thomas and Erica Toya Temple; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L B Landry Ave New Orleans, LA on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating
