Melvina Gaines

Melvina Gaines peacefully entered into eternal rest at her residence on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the age of 92.  She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA.  Devoted mother of Angelo Gaines, Sr. and the late Michael Gaines.  Loving grandmother of Shawanda, Angelo, Jr., Angela and Aquila Gaines.  Daughter of the late Joby Gaines and Lorenza Jones Gaines.  Sister of the late George Gaines, Herman Gaines and Frances Ingram; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Reliable Health Care and J. W. Creative Solutions are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00a.m.

Rev. Frank Williams of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, officiating

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above name parlor.

Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
