Ethel Dixon Lofton

Ethel Mae Lofton, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Canon Hospice at the age of 86. She was a native of Learned, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of the late Willie Lofton, Sr. Devoted mother of Edna (Paul) Freeman of Bolingbrook, IL, Shellie Dixon of Jackson, Ms, Jacob Lofton of Marrero, LA, Willie (Michelle) Lofton of Harvey, LA, Betty (Hilton) Fluker of Slidell, LA, Edward (Tina) Lofton of Jonesboro, GA, and Naomi Lofton (Melvin) Jackson. Daughter of the late Allie and Irene Jacob Dixon. Sister of J. D. Dixon of Utica, MS, Albert (Marie) Charles of Jackson, MS, Jessie (Willie Roger) Cummings of Fayetteville, NC, Essie Porter of New Rochelle, NY, Stella Black of Jackson, MS, and thelate Willie, James, Albert and Arereed Dixon, Alice Mae Burnley, Estella Brown and Alice Marie Williams; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Regular Baptist Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Westhaven Memorial Funeral Home, 306 Depot Street, Utica, MS on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
