Ernest Cornelius Penns, Jr.

Ernest Cornelius Penns, Jr. entered into eternal rest at Canon Hospice on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. He served his country in the U. S. Army in the Vietnam War and a member of American Pool Players Association.

Husband of Irma Penns. Father of Ernest C (Raychell) Penns, III, Karen S. Penns, Twyallar Penns (Reginald) Galashaw, Monique Penns, and the late LaWayne Curtis Rice. Son of the late Ernest C. Penns, Sr. and Katie Giles. Great Grandson of the late James and Miley Fleming and William and Anna Penns. Brother of Danny Giles, Betty Penns Gable of MS, Jacquelyn Guy of TX, and Dorothy Penns Lewis of IL, and the late Ernest C. Penns, Jr, Raymond Penns, William Giles, and Mary Alice Hall, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Age: 73 years a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey, LA

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.

Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery-Slidell, LA.
