Rosemary Chopin Wofford

Rosemary Chopin Wofford peacefully transition to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 69.   Rosemary was a native of New Orleans, LA resident of Marrero, LA but spent a few years in Long Island, New York. She was a retired custodian with Jefferson Parish School Board Worker assigned to Miller Wall and Catherine Strehle Elementary.  

Beloved mother of EuWanda Wofford. Grandmother of Javan Wofford. Daughter of the late Joseph and Amie H. Chopin. Sister of Bessie Chopin Oubre, Edward (Rose) Chopin Sr., Ivan Sr., Calvin, Alvin Chopin, and the late Josephine Chopin Jacks, Ethel Chopin McKnight, Raymond and Edmond Chopin. Niece of Anita and Eva Batiste, Leah Stewart, and Milton Harry. Godmother of Patricia Grogen, Melvin McKnight, Sr., Kashal Johnson, Arianne Wooden, and Ashia Cole ,also survived by and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. and Recitation of the Rosary at 8:45a.m.

Interment: Will Be Private
