Betty Davis Evans

Betty Davis Evans, age 72, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native of Franklinton, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of Charles Evans. Loving mother of Stephanie Evans Johnson. Devoted grandmother of Courtenay and Cameron Royal. Great grandmother of Micah Isaiah Royal. Daughter of the late Elisha, Sr. and Erestine Davis. Sister of Shirley D. Tucker, Gayle D. Thompson and Elisha Davis, Jr. She was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 1 sister. Mother-in-law of the late Alvin Lawrence Johnson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U.S. A., Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Cathedral of Faith of COGIC of Euless, TX, Life Center FGBC, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U. S. A., 1540 Mansfield Ave. Marrero, LA on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 11:00a.m.
