Kirk Patrick Woods

Kirk “Woody” Patrick Woods passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the age of 49. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA. Kirk was formerly employed with Avondale Shipyard for 18 years and presently employed with National Maintenance Repair and Walmart. Beloved husband of Cynthia Griffin Woods. Loving father of K’Ron Woods, Tiara Barker, and the late Kirk Hickerson. Grandfather of Jo’Juan Smith. Son of Nettie Harrison Woods and the late August Woods.   Brother of Keith Woods, LaMonica W. Watson, and the late Kendrick, Kendra and Kenya Woods. Son-in-law of John and Mary Griffin; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
