Willie McGee, Jr.

Willie “Buddy “ McGee, owner of Buddy’s Lounge & Restaurant went home to God on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the age of 81. Buddy was a native of Carpenter, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. He retired from Bredero Price Pipeline after 30 years of service.  Willie’s greatest legacy was running his bar and cherishing his family. Beloved husband of Delores Carter McGee. Father of Jonel, Kenneth, Reginald, Clifton, Dion, and Tracy. Son the late Willie and Drussie McGee, also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Relatives, and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Regular Baptist Church; employees and customers of Buddy’s Lounge, are invited to attend the funeral services at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until time at the above name church.  

Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery Westwego, LA.
