Honorable Judge Eugene Fitchue, a retired Jefferson Parish Justice of the Peace, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the age of 81. He was a native and resident of Avondale, LA. Judge Fitchue was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Pride of Waggaman Lodge #42. He was a graduate of Southern University of New Orleans. Beloved husband of Janet Carter Fitchue. Loving father of Linda Davis, Earl Daniel Fry II, and the late Deborah Fuller Dixon. Son of the late Joseph Fitchue and Sedonia Petties Fitchue. Grandson of the late Joseph “Joe Sam” Fitchue. Brother of Huey P. Simmons and Jorena Williams; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; Judges and staff of the Jefferson Parish Justices of the Peace; employees of Kansas City Railroad and members of the Avondale Civic Association are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 Highway 90 West, Avondale, LA on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Darold Ingram, officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-10:30 a.m. Only at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
