Albert Allen

Albert Allen departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Passages Hospice at the age of 75. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Albert was a retired First Sergeant of the United States Army after 25 years of service. Beloved husband of 17 years to Patricia Benn Allen. Loving father of Michaela Woodson, Beatrix Jones, Tineka Benn, Charlene Ward, Patricia Brown, Derrick Smith, and Charles Smith. Son of the late Herman, Sr. and Mary Allen. Grandson of the late Rev. Walter and Lillian Ross. Brother of Alma Allen Brown, Jacqueline Allen Chestnut, and the late Rose Lee Marigny and Herman Allen, Jr. Nephew of Walterrine Coleman, Walter, Jr., George and Arthur Ross. Father-in-law of Lamoine Ward and Shawn Wise. Son-in-law of the late Betty Benn Roberts. Brother-in-law of the late Marsha Benn and Kermit Roberts; also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 6 brothers-in-law, 5 sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Friday, February 17, 2016 at 11:00a.m. Pastor Jacqueline Ford, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Rd., Slidell, LA on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 2:00p.m.
