Gilda Marie Love

Gilda “Lil Mama” Marie Love, age 60, transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 5, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA until Hurricane Katrina relocated her to Houston, TX. She was a former employee of F. Edward Hebert Hospital, Rosenward Elementary School , and other various jobs. Loving mother of Quincy and Robert (Dana) Love. Grandmother of Rashand Lopper. Daughter of the late Robert Louis Love, Sr. and Helen Jackson Love. Sister of Ella (George) Sanders, Sandra (Richard) Quick, Pamela (Arthur) Eaglin, Cindy (Lynell) Love, Delores Love, Donald, Bryant, Eddie, and Christopher Love and the late Irastine (Gail) Keith, Belinda Love, Robert Louis Love, Jr., Kenneth Love, Wayne and Solomon Sanders, and Sgt. Chase Henry Love. Niece of Freddie Jackson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
