Rosetta “Dotsy” Rogers Hammond, age 84, peacefully entered into eternal rest at her daughter’s residence on Wednesday, February 15, 2017. She was a native of Tensas Parish and a resident o Marrero, LA. Rosetta was a retired Para Professional of Belle Chasse State School. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Ether by first marriage and the late Joseph Hammond by second marriage. Loving mother of Glen Ether, Sr., Nova Louis, Joseph Hammond, Jr., and thelate Vernita Ether and Rita Forman. Daughter of the late Major, Sr. and Carrie Talton Rogers. Sister of Alexander and Edward Rogers, Hazel Davis, Ruby Rogers, Willie Mae Davis, Gladys Tigler, and the late Major Rogers, Jr. and Albert Rogers; also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Mount Calvary Church, Little Zion Baptist Church, Household of Faith, and all neighboring churches; employees of American Commercial and Sampey General Contractors are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St. Westwego, LA on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at
10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA
