Gary Lamar Taylor, Sr. departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the age of 36. He was a native and resident of Westwego, LA. Gary was employed with Show Group Production Services (SGPS/Show Rig). Devoted father of Gary Lamar Taylor, Jr. and Naioby Taylor. Beloved son of Melvin (Rosell) Taylor and the late Kathy Johnson. Brother of Ashante Johnson, Keisha Carter, Unique (Al) Harney and Hermika Armour, and the late Leonard Lyles . Uncle of Faith Johnson, Keishon Paul, Treasure Williams and Rashad. Grandson of the late Raymond and Claudia Harris, Willie and Zula Lyles. Nephew of Andrea Scott, Nina L. Griffin, Ronnie Lyles, Michael Lyles, and the late Joseph Taylor, Gary Harris, and Anita Lyles. Cousin of the late Kevin Lyles. Best friend of Juan Crusto. Devoted friend of Michelle Bates; also survived by the mother of his children Mindy Billiot and a host of other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Historic True Vine Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of SGPS/Show Rig, Jefferson Parish Street Dept. (Westbank), University Medical Center, and National Furniture Store are invited attend the Funeral Service at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1419 4th St. Westwego, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Woodrow Hayden, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
