Marvin Ray Jackson, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence. He retired from the U S Army and employed with the City Of Gretna.

Beloved husband of the late Helen Sonia Jackson. Devoted father of Marvin R. Jackson, Jr., and Antranell R. Jackson. Son of the late Charles Jackson and Julia Ledet. Brother of Joseph, Larry, and Vernon Ledet, Connie Martin, Debra Armstead, Brenda Jackson, Mary Ann Ledet, Nedra Williams, and the late Gloria Campbell and Janice Wilson, also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Age: 64 years a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA. on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Dr. Slidell, LA
