Ronald Ty Powell, Sr., age 56, was called home into the arms of his everlasting Father of Monday March 13, 2017. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Ronald was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and a faithful and dedicated employee of Ground Pati in Metairie for 30 years. Devoted father of Cary (Jonell) Steed and Ronald (Manon) Powell, Jr. Stepfather of Shaquel Walker. Grandfather of Adalyn, Tahyron, and Ayla. Son of Leona Powell and Cleveland Powell, Sr. Grandson of the late Martha Guillory. Brother of Barbara Powell, Cleveland, Oliver (RoAnn) ,and Donald Powell and the late Felix Powell; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Ground Pati, and members of L. B. Landry Class of 1980 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
