Geneva “Mumcie” Johnson entered into eternal rest on Monday March 27, 2017 at Wynhoven Health Care. Beloved wife of the late Robert Johnson. Devoted mother of Eddie Lee (Zetta) Johnson Sr. and the late John D. Johnson Sr., Thomas Johnson Sr., Johnnie Johnson Sr, Rosie Mae Walker, Inez Coleman and Lilly Rose Johnson. Daughter of the late Elnora Scott Eagland and Melvin Johnson. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 2 daughters in law, 2 sons in law, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also survived by 31 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, 58 great great grandchildren, 1 step nephew and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 102 years, a native of Lettsworth, LA and a resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Boynton United Methodist Church all neighboring churches; employees of JMN Specialties, Inc. and Wynhoven Heath Care Center are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at Boynton United Methodist Church, 515 Fifth St. Gretna, La on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Sione Tu’Uta, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery – Gretna, La.
