Alice James Shepard

Alice James Shepard peacefully entered the arms of the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the presence of her family. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Shepard, Sr. Mother of Terry Johnson (Roland), Alexander Shepard, Jr., Sherry Shepard (Eddie), Kellert Shepard, Sr. and the late Sedonia Johnson. Daughter of the late Joseph James and Alice Ellis. Sister of Jerome Warren and the late Hilton Jacob, Herman Smith, Edward Jones, and Mary Lemieux. Niece of Annie Mae Lewis; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 76 years, a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Outreach Ministry the House of Prayer, Moses Baptist Church of Thibodaux, LA and all neighboring churches; employees of Heart of Hospice, Institute for Networking Community Services, American Airlines Envoy, Terrebonne Parish Schools, and Westwego Fairs Grounds OTB Casino are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Pearl M. Smith, Pastor; Overseer Apostle Lawrence Smith, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.
