Joseph Bennett

Joseph Bennett, Sr. departed this life on Friday April 7, 2017 at St. Theresa /East Jefferson Hospital at the age of 80. He was a native of St. Francisville, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA. Joseph was a retired construction worker for Boh Brothers Construction and Wilson Construction Companies.

Beloved husband of Jessie Mae Bennett. Devoted father of Andre Bennett, Kirk Bennett, Andrea Garrison, Sandra Bennett, and the late Joseph Bennett, Jr. Stepfather of Mable Turner. Grandfather of the late Joseph Bennett, III, also survived by 28 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives, friends of the family, are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11:00a.m.

Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the parlor.

Interment: Westlawn Cemetery- Gretna LA.
