Cassandra Deverney Cousin, age 60, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her residence. She was a native of Algiers, LA and a resident Los Angeles, CA. Cassandra was employed as a secretary at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Wife of the late Eric Deverney. Loving and devoted mother of Eric Cousin. Mother-in-law of Thais-Francielle do Carmo Silva-Cousin. Soon to be grandmother of Eric Cousin, Jr. Beloved daughter of the late Bartholomew Cousin and Delcina Decou-Thomas. Stepdaughter of the late Joseph R. Thomas, Jr. Sister of Carl Cousin, Carla Thomas, Joseph Randy Thomas of AR, Ralph Thomas and the late Joan Marie Favorite and Bartholomew Earl Cousin. Niece of Judith Madison, Donald Decou, and the late Lorraine Marcell and Gustave Decou. Devoted cousin of Donna Carraby. Devoted friend of Gwen Cooper, Bertha Gasper and Monica Armstead; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church, St. Brigid Catholic Church of Los Angeles, CA and all neighboring churches; members of L. B. Landry Class of 1975; employees of Home Depot #6689 of Los Angeles, CA, First Name Basis, Hampton Inn and Suites, CenterPlate and EAN Holdings LLC are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church, 1441 Teche St., New Orleans, LA on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00a.m. Father Peter Weiss, celebrant Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the church.
