Altlia Shelton Nora

Altlia Shelton Hollins Nora entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the age of 85. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.

Wife of the late Robert Nora by second marriage and James Hollins by first marriage. Devoted mother of Lorraine Ivy, Linda, Elmer Jean, Patricia, Cheryl, Derek (Debra), Michael (Candace), and Grace Hollins, Norvin (Alice) Jones, and Rene Paul (Rudolph) Casimier. Grandmother of the late Melvin D. Paul, Jr. Daughter of the late James and Alma Shelton. Granddaughter of the late Frank Harris, Altlia Dupard, Jack and Sara Shelton. Sister of Robert Shelton, Naomi Prosper, Rita (Larry) King and the late Rev. Earl, James, and Genevia Shelton, also survived by 31 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Rock B.C. and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Rock B.C., 9137 Edinburgh St. New Orleans, LA.   on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.

Interment: Providence Park Cemetery Metairie, LA.
